Pastor Jack Abeelen

Pastor Jack Abeelen, Senior Pastor of Morningstar Christian Chapel, was raised in a Catholic home and attended parochial school from elementary grades through high school. At the age of 18 he heard the Gospel of Jesus Christ presented at a home study of a friend with whom he had grown up. In 1972 he gave his life to Christ and God began to work in his heart and call him to Himself. In 1980 Jack was given the opportunity to join a church staff as an assisting pastor and in 1985 went out to plant what today is the church he still pastors, Morningstar Christian Chapel in Whittier CA., a Calvary Chapel affiliate church. His gift of teaching is clearly seen in the easy and yet relevant way he communicates the Word of God.

Then He said to them, "The harvest truly is great but the laborers are few; therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest."

We trust in God’s promise in Isaiah 55:11 "So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me void, But it shall accomplish what I please, And it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it." We know that teaching the Word of God chapter by chapter and verse by verse will change lives. Won’t you help us in sharing God’s Word with our generation?
