This book records Jeremiah’s weeping prayer as he watched the destruction of Jerusalem. For over 40 years, this weeping prophet warned the people of Judah of the coming judgment of God because of their national sin. Yet in spite of his many warnings, the people continued in their rebellious ways and God then used the Babylonians to bring chastisement upon the nation. Yet in the midst of a seemingly hopelessness situation, Jeremiah praises God’s faithfulness.
