Ordaining Elders In Every City

Titus 1:5-9

Titus had the tall order of going into a heathen region and setting up a structure in the fledgling church on the island of Create (Titus 1:5). First he was to look for men that would be able to lead. How was he to know who those men would be? Paul gives to Titus specific things to look for within a given body of believers. They were to be men who were faithful husbands and who knew how to lead their homes. Moreover, they were to be men who were not driven by fleshly desires. If Titus could find men with these qualifications the church would be assured of good oversight. In this study, Pastor Jack enumerates each of these qualifications teaching us how we must use the same guidelines in choosing church leaders today.
