Our Relentless Enemy
Acts 5:17-42
From the example of the early believers, we see that Satan is relentless as he constantly tries to stifle the work of the Church. Having quelled the opposition from within, the Church once again moves in its outward witness only to find the enemy to be waiting and ready to go on the attack. The saying, “to be forewarned is to be forearmed,” certainly prepared the people to expect opposition and be ready to sacrifice their own lives if necessary to proclaim the Gospel.
