Let the Walls Fall Down
Acts 10:23b-48
As the Early Church grew, God working patiently with the saints, gave them progressive revelation to help them break through the Jewish rules and regulations of the past. This is clearly seen in Peter’s experience as he was led to reach out to Cornelius, a Gentile Roman officer, who had a heart to know God. For Peter, walking into a Gentile’s house was a forbidden experience of the past. As he went, he proclaimed the Gospel to these eager and waiting hearts. To his surprise, not only did these Gentiles come to Christ, but also received the baptism of the Holy Spirit, just as he and the other Jewish believers had experienced. For him, this was a life changing reality.
