Nothing Can Restrain the Lord
1 Samuel 14:1-23
In this study, Pastor Jack draws a contrast between Saul, the leader that the people wanted to lead them into battle, and Jonathan his son. Instead of leading the people against Israel's enemy, the Philistines, Saul did nothing. Saul even had the priest nearby, yet he didn't even seek the Lord for guidance. Jonathan on the other hand took his armor bearer and being convinced that God wanted to defeat the enemy took a venture of faith. As a result of putting their confidence in God, a great defeat came about. Jonathan's words should be challenge to us…”it may be the Lord will work for us. For nothing restrains the Lord from saving by many or by few.”
