1 Samuel 23-24
Years earlier, David had been anointed to be king, yet he was not king and Saul, the present king, was pursuing him in order to remove David as a threat to his throne. Through these trying years, God would both protect David and give him experiences that would one day equip him to lead His people. One big lesson that we all need to learn is to trust the Lord in every situation, love our enemies, and let Him take care of those who come after us.
