David will fall to act in vengeance in what is a small irritating situation compared to what Saul has been trying to do to him. Yet here we get some facts about our dark side and some insights into how God protect us from our own foolish intentions. Even David is not immune from temptation to take personal vengeance though he is growing daily by leaps and bounds; yet with our flesh we are never out of the woods and it could be his pent up rage as Saul now explodes elsewhere. In this study, we have the story of Nabal and Abigail, the wrath of David, and the grace of God.
