Someone once said, "Trials are inevitable, but misery is optional." As James starts his epistle, written to suffering Christians, he immediately jumps into the subject of trials teaching how believers should both view and handle trials in our lives. By viewing trials from God's perspective, we are able to understand why they are necessary and important for us to grow in our faith and one day become the finished work of God's grace.
In this study, Pastor Jack teaches us that trials test the strength of our faith, keep us humble and dependent on God, wean us from depending on things other than God, give us an eternal mindset, force us to act on our declared love for God, teach us to value God’s blessings, build up our spiritual endurance, and finally to equip us to minister to others.
