2 Samuel 8-9

Chapter 8 gives us a summary of many of David's campaigns to secure the country from Israel's enemies. Through the victories that God gave, the borders of the country were extended to the greatest point of all time. In chapter 9, we are able to peek into David's gracious heart as he researches for any descendants of Saul whereby he locates Mephibosheth, Saul's disabled son. David then brings him to Jerusalem where upon he personally has him dine at the kings table.
